Made from 100% Peruvian Pima cotton, an extra long staple cotton that is significantly softer, stronger and longer lasting than other cottons. Our Pima Cotton has a silky luster and unparalleled softness that is the result of ideal growing conditions in Peru. It is cultivated and harvested by hand, a more environmentally sound method that is also better for the cotton itself.

Our clothes are cut to have a slouchy silhouette. We always prioritize comfort. Most customers can fit across multiple sizes and size selection usually comes down to fit preference versus specific scientific measurements. I almost always suggest taking your normal size but please feel free to reach out to hey@shopsisterkatie.com or DM @sisterkatie for sizing questions.

What's in a name

Introducing Juliet Capulet – ever heard of her? Specifically Juliet from Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet. Okay okay, this might be a stretch but stay with me… I love this movie. The fish tank meet-cute, Leo, their chemistry, LEO, and that absolute banger of a soundtrack. The kid in the choir singing Juliet down the aisle… still gives me chills. Costume design/wardrobe played such a key role in this film and there is something so visually striking about the juxtaposition of (see, I went to school) the two family’s flamboyant costumes. The Montagues clad in colorful Hawaiian shirts and Capulets in black and red cowboy chic. Then there was the almost plain-Jane, modestness of Juliet, smack in the middle.
