sister katie was born in san francisco and is being raised in new york. it is the brainchild of katie roach and her beloved baby intern. we integrate sustainable practices into all of our processes and we only partner with ethical manufacturers. we are so glad you are here.
we make clothes that make us feel good AND that we can feel good about. our partners in portugal and peru are the cream of the crop and we are thrilled to be working with them.
our factory north east of porto runs on 100% renewable energy. they have an AENOR green energy certificate and their solar panels give them 100% of their energy needs. they are GOTS certified and OEKO-TEX class I. they provide above minimum wage and better conditions for their low-level workers. all employees get morning and afternoon breaks "on the house" and they have free transportation to and from work - including a mid-day transport that allows them to have lunch with their families if they so choose. all employees have health insurance with entrance into the best private hospitals in their city.
our partners in lima are a fair trade knitwear development and production company. they are woman-run and produce garments using zero-waste methods, working with local artisans and weavers to create consciously and sustainably made textiles.
